Anniversary Cards

I've been getting a bit ahead of myself lately with my own cards that is! and my mum asked me to make her an Anniversary card for their 10th Anniversary coming up in August. I love making wedding and anniversary cards. I thought about using a photo from their wedding on the card, but struggled to find anything half decent so I've used this one of them signing the register and have doctored it in paint shop pro! How on earth did we cope before digital cameras?

I decided to emboss a strip of white card using the cuttlebug textile folder as it kind of matched in with the wallpaper in the background. Everybody jokes that the Registry Office is more like an Indian Resturant! I've tried to keep the colours simple and minimal. The sentiments were printed directly onto the card and border added to using paint shop pro. I'm really pleased how this card has turned out and think I'll be using this layout quite a bit from now on!

Secondly this is the one I made for my stepdad to give to my mum. I've had these paper roses in my craft stash for nearly 5 years! I've only been making cards for coming up 2 years now, but I bought them for my own wedding with every intention of making my own invitations, but went for the easy option and got somebody else to do them instead. I wish now I'd have done my own, but I know it would have been a lot of hard work.
